The Arsonists of Obamacare Are Lecturing Us About the Fire
Only in Washington could the people who burned down the house show up afterward to lecture everyone about fire safety. The Democrats created, expanded, and ultimately blew up Obamacare—and now, in a stunning act of political gaslighting, they’re trying to pin the blame on Donald Trump and the GOP for not surrendering to their latest demand: another $1.5 trillion to bail out a broken system and extend subsidies to illegal aliens.
Senator after Senator stood on the floor pretending to weep for “families losing health care,” as if the crisis hadn’t been of their own making. Mark Levin nailed it: this is like the arsonist blaming the fire department for not rebuilding the house fast enough. Democrats built this monstrosity, they expanded it under Biden, and when it inevitably collapsed under the weight of its own lies, they pointed fingers at Republicans for not “fixing” what they destroyed.
The “Affordable” Care Act Was Never Affordable
Let’s revisit the grand promises. Remember when Obama and his cheerleaders swore that premiums would drop by $2,500 a year? Instead, families are now staring down $25,000 annual insurance bills. That’s not “affordable,” that’s financial strangulation.
It wasn’t just a miscalculation. It was a lie, sold with a smile and pushed by a media more interested in protecting the Democratic brand than protecting Americans’ wallets. Now those same media outlets are spinning fairy tales about Republicans “blocking healthcare” when all the GOP said was: Stop the insanity.
Republicans aren’t refusing to fix healthcare; they’re refusing to dump more taxpayer billions into a sinking ship. They proposed holding off on yet another bailout until the end of the year to actually review the damage. Democrats screamed “crisis!” because they know once the lights turn on, everyone will see who really broke the system.
Subsidies for Illegal Aliens While Americans Drown
Here’s the sickest part: this whole manufactured healthcare “crisis” began because Democrats demanded coverage for illegal immigrants. Not veterans, not working-class families who can’t afford $2,000 deductibles, and illegal immigrants. When the GOP refused to fund it, Democrats threw a tantrum and blocked the continuing resolution.
Then they turned around and cried on cue for the cameras. Suddenly, it’s about “children dying of cancer,” and “families losing coverage.” Spare us the theatrics. This is about power and control, not compassion. The same party that gutted affordable private insurance now wants to federalize the entire healthcare industry under the guise of “helping people.”
The Media’s Smoke Machine
You can’t miss it. CNN, MSNBC, The Washington Post, all running the same script: Republicans risk healthcare collapse. No mention that Democrats detonated the system with reckless subsidies, price controls, and bureaucratic chokeholds that make it impossible for doctors and insurers to function.
The media industrial complex doesn’t report; it reinforces the narrative. Their job isn’t journalism—it’s damage control. They exist to make the Democrats’ failures look like Trump’s crimes.
The Senate Republicans voted to keep the government open with a continuing resolution that maintained spending at current levels until a budget is passed. If only a relatively few Democrats had voted with the Republicans, the shutdown would have been averted. Almost all of the cost increases originated in the Biden era. Obamacare was flawed from day one and can never succeed without massive subsidies. The Democrats sunsetted the Obamacare subsidies, not the GOP.
The Truth: Democrats Built It, Broke It, and Blame Everyone Else
Let’s be blunt. Obamacare is a failure. It metastasized into every corner of American healthcare, driving up costs and reducing choice. The Democrats knew this would happen; they just hoped the collapse would come on someone else’s watch.
Now that the system they expanded under Biden is imploding, they’re screaming “Trump’s fault!” while demanding another trillion-dollar transfusion to keep the corpse twitching.
Without Covid-19 subsidies, Obamacare becomes less affordable over time.
It’s not Trump. It’s not the GOP. It’s them, the Democrats, who lit the match, poured the gasoline, and now want applause for “fighting the flames.”
America doesn’t need more subsidies or slogans. It needs honesty, accountability, and leadership willing to rebuild healthcare on solid ground—not lies, not extortion, and not another trillion-dollar bailout.
We are being screwed.
