California’s Climate Con: How Gavin Newsom Is Profiting From Pain

The Climate Con That Costs Californians Everything

Governor Gavin Newsom has perfected the art of political smoke and mirrors. Speaking at a global climate summit, he claimed that skyrocketing costs are somehow part of an “affordability conversation.” Translation: the state’s endless green mandates and regulations aren’t a burden, they’re a feature. Newsom tries to convince Californians that paying more for everything from electricity to groceries is somehow empowering them. The reality? It’s a cash funnel for progressive communist democrat special interests, while residents struggle to survive.

Failed Solar Dreams and Pension Fund Scams

California is littered with the ruins of Newsom’s climate crusade. Dozens of solar projects promised clean energy and jobs, but delivered neither. Some failed outright, while others drain taxpayers through mismanagement and corruption. Meanwhile, the state pension funds, supposedly managed for the benefit of public workers, have been funneled into high-risk, politically-connected green schemes. Hardworking Californians are left footing the bill for Wall Street-style boondoggles masked as “sustainable development.”

Mandates That Punish the People, Not the Polluters

From forcing families to buy expensive electric vehicles to mandating all-electric appliances and costly home retrofits, Sacramento has weaponized environmentalism against its citizens. Subsidies exist only as a public relations smokescreen for the pain these rules inflict. Families bear the cost, small businesses fold under compliance pressures, and Newsom collects applause from elites while ordinary Californians cry out for relief. There’s nothing “affordable” about coerced compliance.

California’s Climate Math Doesn’t Add Up

Even if every Californian disappeared tomorrow, global emissions wouldn’t budge. Yet Newsom and his allies boast about California’s “green leadership” while ignoring reality: wildfires, blackouts, and broken infrastructure negate any claimed environmental gains. The state has become a cautionary tale, a laboratory of suffering where ideological purity replaces practical solutions. Families pay the price, literally, for policies that do nothing to improve the planet.

A Real Plan Would Empower, Not Enslave

Affordability starts with freedom: real energy choice, responsible forest management, and infrastructure that actually works. Nuclear and natural gas, along with smart grid improvements, are solutions Newsom dismisses. Real stewardship relies on knowledge and incentives, not mandates and propaganda. Californians don’t need authoritarian decrees—they need policies that make living here viable.

Bottom Line: Misery for the Many, Profit for the Few

Newsom’s climate crusade isn’t about saving the planet; it’s about controlling people and enriching progressive communist democrat cronies. Soaring costs trap families, pensioners see their savings gambled away, and the energy grid teeters on the brink of collapse. The governor’s climate “vision” is a façade of virtue masking a system designed to extract money while delivering misery. Californians aren’t being led, they’re being used. And that’s the harsh, undeniable truth.

We are being screwed, and Newsom flies 5,000 miles to the United Nations climate summit in Brazil to tell his fellow travelers to keep up their good work.
