The United Nations: Masters of Talk, Cowards Afraid to Take Action — How Global Bureaucrats Enable Ethnic Cleansing

200 displaced Nigerian Christians slaughtered

YELEWATA, Benue (BP)—June 17, 2025. The 500 Christians already had fled terrorism at home and found temporary shelter in storefronts transformed into living quarters in downtown Yelewata. But as they slept overnight June 13, men identified as militant Fulani attacked from multiple sides.

Shouting “Allahu Akhbar (God is great),” militants commenced an ungodly attack, using fuel to burn the small living quarters, shooting people and attacking with machetes any who tried to escape, multiple international religious liberty advocacy groups reported.

Within two hours, 200 were dead in what Aid to the Church in Need labeled the “worst killing spree” in the region to date. [Source]

All Talk, No Action: The UN’s Theater of Moral Outrage

Every time the world burns, the United Nations issues another statement. Another “urgent call.” Another “resolution.” Another solemn photo-op where well-fed diplomats wag their fingers at the same atrocities they’ll do absolutely nothing to stop. Whether it’s Boko Haram’s butchery in Nigeria or genocides that sweep across forgotten corners of the globe, the UN’s first instinct isn’t to act—it’s to condemn. Loudly, theatrically, and uselessly.

They have perfected the art of moral posturing while entire populations are wiped out. “We condemn the violence.” “We demand accountability.” “We call for restraint.” Words, words, and more words, each one hollow, polished for press releases, and devoid of a shred of courage.

Peacekeepers? More Like Spectators—and Sometimes Predators

The UN’s so-called “peacekeeping” forces are a global punchline. They arrive late, stand by helplessly during massacres, and too often leave behind scandals that disgrace the very concept of peacekeeping. Reports of corruption, smuggling, and even sexual abuse by UN personnel have dogged nearly every major mission in recent memory. These aren’t “isolated incidents,”they’re symptoms of an organization that hides behind blue helmets instead of demanding integrity or accountability.

In places like the Lake Chad Basin, where Boko Haram has unleashed a decade of terror, mass killings, child soldiers, and the systematic destruction of communities, the UN’s peacekeepers haven’t stopped the bleeding. They’ve just documented it. Their contribution? Endless reports that “express concern,” “note with alarm,” or “strongly condemn.” Meanwhile, mothers bury their children, girls are sold as slaves, and villages vanish under the machete.

The Bureaucracy of Compassion

The United Nations has built an entire bureaucracy around “humanitarian response.” It’s a well-oiled machine of conferences, workshops, and committees, each producing glossy documents that sound impressive to anyone who’s never been near a war zone. They talk about “root causes” and “inclusive governance,” all while people are being slaughtered.

The UN congratulates itself on its “monitoring mechanisms” and “regional cooperation frameworks.” In plain English, that means endless paperwork while nothing changes on the ground. Every atrocity becomes an administrative exercise. Every death becomes a data point.

When confronted with their own impotence, the UN’s defenders always say, “At least they’re raising awareness.” As if awareness feeds the starving or protects the terrified. Awareness is not justice. Awareness is not a rescue. Awareness is a distraction from the fact that the world’s supposed moral authority can’t—or won’t—lift a finger without permission from the very governments committing the crimes.

Diplomacy as a Shield for Inaction

The UN hides behind diplomacy the way cowards hide behind curtains. They say they can’t intervene without “member state consensus,” meaning the worst offenders get to veto justice. China, Russia, and other tyrannical regimes sit on the Security Council, pretending to care about human rights while blocking any move that might threaten their interests. The result? Deadlock, dithering, and decay.

Meanwhile, the victims of ethnic cleansing are left to fend for themselves. The UN offers “technical support” and “capacity building” while warlords and terrorists rule unchecked.

Bottom Line: The Global Joke No One’s Laughing At

The tragedy is that the UN was supposed to prevent atrocities like this. It was built from the ashes of World War II with the promise of “Never Again.” Yet every decade brings a new “again.” Rwanda. Darfur. Syria. Nigeria. Each time, the UN condemns, documents, and retreats. Each time, the perpetrators learn that words cost nothing and blood carries no consequences.

The United Nations has become a monument to moral cowardice, a talking shop for bloated elites who confuse rhetoric with righteousness. It’s not just ineffective; it’s complicit through indifference.

Until the UN trades speeches for spine, the world’s murderers can rest easy knowing the only thing the United Nations will ever deploy against them… is another press release.

We are so screwed, and the poor people in Africa are so dead.
