The War They Won’t Tell You About: Your Freedoms, Your Laws, Your Lives Are at Stake

A War Without Borders

This is not fiction. It is not speculation. It is a real struggle, a global battle for control over hearts, minds, and societies.

The bitter irony is that in Western nations, this conflict is often unintentionally aided by ignorance, indifference, and politicians more concerned with appearances than consequences. Words about “freedom” are spoken loudly, while actions behind closed doors undermine it.

Even cautiously discussing this reality can trigger accusations of intolerance or worse, being labeled as a racist. Yet, the absolute intolerance lies with those imposing their agenda under the guise of religion and ideology. The rules of this conflict are built to exploit the very ideals of fairness, openness, and tolerance that Western societies hold dear. History shows that the side claiming to be “good” does not always prevail, and this war is structured to favor those who understand strategy, patience, manipulation, and the brutal use of force.

Understanding the Blueprint: Sharia

A fundamental misunderstanding in the West is failing to grasp how many Islamic actors interpret the world through a single framework: sharia, or Islamic law. Sharia is more than a spiritual guide, it is a system for governance and daily life that Islam seeks to implement universally.

Globally, Muslim-majority nations are part of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which now holds the largest voting bloc at the United Nations. Documents like the 1993 Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam make it clear: Sharia is the lens through which these nations define human rights. It is no wonder that Israel cannot prevail in U.N. resolutions.

Jihadist Goals in Plain Sight

Groups like al-Qaeda, ISIS, Hamas, and Hezbollah openly state that their mission is the global implementation of sharia. Historical statements from leaders such as Osama bin Laden framed their campaigns as holy struggles to enforce Islamic law. The Muslim Brotherhood, the world’s largest terrorist Islamic movement, declares a commitment to preparing its followers to confront “enemies of Allah” as part of establishing an Islamic state.

These declarations are not marginal; they are core principles. From terrorist attacks to indoctrination in schools and propaganda campaigns, these actions align directly with the goal of enforcing Sharia. Even attacks on U.S. soil, like the 2017 New York City truck attack or the 2013 Wichita airport plot, were motivated by the desire to expand sharia.

Sharia in Translation

Sharia allows leaders to convey different messages depending on the audience. Terms like “peace,” “human rights,” and “innocent” carry meanings different from those in the Western understanding. Peace exists only under Sharia’s authority. Innocence applies primarily to Muslims. Terrorism is defined only when a Muslim is killed outside sharia-sanctioned reasons.

This dual messaging means Western audiences often hear calls for peace and protection of human rights, while the underlying message to believers is a mandate to continue until sharia dominates. Misreading this distinction has real-world consequences; diplomacy can be mistaken for compromise when it is actually viewed as weakness. As cartoonist/philosopher Scott Adams says, we are watching two different movies projected on the same screen.

Western Blind Spots

In the United States and other Western nations, leaders negotiate treaties with sharia-influenced governments, supply weapons, and carefully choose language to avoid offending religious sensitivities. Terms like “violent extremists” are used instead of “Muslims” or “jihadists.” Meanwhile, ordinary citizens confront rallies supporting extremist ideologies, foreign aid to authoritarian regimes, and reports of sharia courts quietly functioning in local communities.

This avoidance allows extremist interpretations to spread under the cover of rhetoric about peace and human rights. Sharia is leveraged as a tool to undermine Western legal systems, freedoms, and societal norms.

Bottom Line: Facing the Reality

This is a war, not only of nations but of civilizations. The struggle has persisted for centuries, with no assurance of a clear victory for those defending liberal ideals. Your tolerance is leveraged against you; your silence becomes a weapon in their hands. Ignoring this conflict is not a neutral stance; it is acquiescence.

Understanding the principles guiding jihadist movements, recognizing the goals of sharia implementation, and holding leaders accountable is not prejudice; it is a necessary strategy for survival. Every day that passes without awareness or action brings the battle closer to home.

The fight is already underway in the streets, schools, and communities. If Western nations fail to recognize it, the consequences will reverberate for generations. And most dangerously, some of the tools to undermine society —from arms to purchased political influence —are being willingly handed over to those who would exploit them.

And for the naïve who believe Islam can be reformed, the Quran is the literal word of Allah and cannot be changed or even reinterpreted. It is what it is!

We are being screwed.
