The Atlantic Finally Admits the Obvious – But Blames Trump Anyway

The democrat party was born of violence, it has an extraordinarily violent history, and that violence persists today. A party associated with slavery, secession, segregation, Jim Crow, the KKK, and opposition to civil rights which they project onto their opposition. Feting criminals, supporting terrorists, hating Americans. All covered up or downplayed by progressive communist democrats and their media propagandists. Among them, the progressive left’s mouthpiece: The Atlantic.

Well, well, well—look who finally crawled out from under the smoldering rubble of their own denial.

In a truly astounding display of backpedaling wrapped in smug condescension, The Atlantic, long known as a reliable mouthpiece for the far left, has done something rare: it’s told the truth.

Sort of.

Buried beneath layers of academic jargon and just-so moral posturing, the Atlantic is now grudgingly admitting what any honest observer has known since 2016: left-wing terrorism is not only real, it’s on the rise—and for the first time in more than 30 years, it’s outpacing violence from the far right.

But don’t worry, they’ve still found a way to make it all Trump’s fault.

They Finally Said It: Left-Wing Terrorism Is Real

That’s right. After years of gaslighting the public, ignoring leftist violence, and pretending Antifa was a “myth,” The Atlantic has quietly dropped a bombshell: 2025 marks the first time in three decades that left-wing attacks have outnumbered those from the far right.

“We compiled and analyzed a data set of 750 attacks and plots in the United States… We found that left-wing terrorism has increased since President Donald Trump’s rise to political prominence in 2016.”

The numbers are right there. They can’t deny it anymore. So instead? They spin it.

Blame Trump—Again

So let me get this straight: leftist radicals are firebombing property, assassinating CEOs, and attempting to kill a former President because… Trump made them angry?

“Trump’s political ascent and the expansion of the MAGA movement seem to have reenergized left-wing violent extremism…”

Oh please. What a weak, laughable excuse.

By that logic, literally any violence is excusable as long as you didn’t vote for the guy in office. The Atlantic is basically saying: “Yes, they’re violent—but only because they’re upset.” You know who else uses that logic? Toddlers.

The Hypocrisy Is the Point

Flip this narrative for a second. Imagine a conservative outlet trying to justify right-wing violence by blaming Obama’s presidency. Think that would fly?

Nope. The media would lose its collective mind. And yet, when the left commits politically motivated violence? It’s explained away as a “reaction to oppression” or “the understandable frustration of marginalized voices.”

Give me a break. Violence is violence. But for the left, it’s only terrorism when they don’t agree with it.

Media Complicity Runs Deep

Let’s not forget who helped build this monster. The mainstream media, academia, social media platforms, Hollywood—they all played a role in normalizing and excusing left-wing violence.

From CNN’s infamous “fiery but mostly peaceful protest” chyron while buildings burned in the background, to politicians openly supporting bail funds for rioters, the left has never been held to the same standard.

Now that their own data has backed them into a corner, the Atlantic thinks it can rewrite history and come out smelling like roses? Not a chance.

A Pattern of Justifying the Unjustifiable

“Left-wing attacks generally target specific individuals, such as the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson or the assassination attempt on Trump…”

Let’s pause there. That’s a murder and a presidential assassination attempt in the same breath—and they deliver it like a minor footnote. As if that’s somehow less serious than other types of extremism.

And yet they STILL try to make the case that leftist terrorism isn’t that bad.

“Despite its recent increase, left-wing terrorism is not nearly as common today as it was in the 1960s…”

Oh great. So as long as we’re not blowing up banks like the Weather Underground, we’re doing fine? This is the bar now?

Don’t Be Fooled by the Soft Language

Read the article closely and you’ll see the sleight of hand.

They acknowledge that left-wing terrorism is rising—but immediately bury that fact beneath mountains of “context,” statistics meant to diminish the threat, and of course, endless reminders that right-wing violence has historically been worse.

Sure, okay. But guess what? That’s not the story right now.

The story is that the left is committing more terrorist acts than the right, in 2025, and the very people who spent years telling us “there’s no such thing as left-wing terrorism” are now admitting it… but only after reality forced their hand.

Too Little, Too Late

So no—you don’t get a cookie for finally facing the facts. Not after years of:

  • Smearing conservatives as domestic terrorists
  • Pretending the left had a monopoly on “compassion”
  • Gaslighting Americans into thinking Antifa was a figment of the right’s imagination
  • Ignoring real victims of left-wing political violence

The Atlantic is trying to have it both ways: admit the truth just enough to protect their credibility, while still blaming Trump and preserving their ideological bubble.

Too late. The mask is off.

Welcome to the Facts, Atlantic. We’ve Been Here for a While.

We’ve seen the riots. We’ve seen the vandalism. We’ve seen the assaults, the firebombs, the canceled speakers, the death threats, the destruction. And now we’ve seen your own numbers back up what we’ve been warning about all along.

You can spin it all you want. You can wrap it in clever language, pepper it with Trump blame, and cross your fingers that no one notices.

But we noticed. And we’re not forgetting.

We are so screwed.
