Mark Levin Condemns “Lawfare” Against Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

For those wondering where American conservative commentator and lawyer Mark Levin has been recently, the answer is the District Court in Tel Aviv, Israel. Accompanied by his attorney wife, Julie, Levin traveled to Israel to show support for his friend, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is facing a lawfare trial on charges of petty corruption.

Speaking to JNS, Levin described what he witnessed in the courtroom as shocking:

“I wanted to see with my own two eyes the injustice of the lawfare that has been unleashed against Prime Minister Netanyahu.”

Levin said that the trial was far worse than he had anticipated:

“It was actually much worse than I thought. The level of tedious irrelevancies and absurd processes and distractions from the prime minister’s incredibly serious official duties is unconscionable.”

The commentator also criticized the sheer number of prosecutors involved:

“There were literally 10 prosecutors sitting in that courtroom, and if there had been 1,000, they could not have fixed what is a ludicrous case.”

He went on to compare the situation to American standards of justice:

“There is no way a trial like this would pass the fundamental standards of justice in America. This system desperately needs to be reformed.”

Levin further criticized the courtroom proceedings for their tone and timing:

“The prosecutors and judges act as if there is not a life and death war going on. On top of everything else, it was bizarre.”

Levin’s comments come amid ongoing scrutiny of Netanyahu’s leadership during Israel’s multi-front war, which began following the Hamas-led attacks in southern Israel on October 7, 2023. Despite the legal challenges, Netanyahu continues to lead a major military operation to regain control of Gaza City.

Levin’s firsthand account highlights what he calls the injustice of politically motivated legal processes, offering a rare American perspective on a trial that has drawn international attention.

Bottom Line

There are few world leaders as historic as Benjamin Netanyahu—a scholar-warrior whose courage and intellect have shaped the destiny of a nation. Willing to risk everything to defend Israel, he faces political and legal battles with the same steadfast determination that guides him on the battlefield. In a world where principle and resolve are increasingly rare, Netanyahu stands as a living testament to leadership, resilience, and the enduring spirit of a nation under siege. Those who witness his struggle firsthand, like Mark Levin, see more than a trial—they see history in motion.

We are so screwed.
