After 18 years and 182 days, One Citizen Speaking is leaving Typepad—the blogging platform that launched in 2003 and once hosted many Fortune 500 companies. Typepad’s final words were simple, sad, and brutally honest:
“We have made the difficult decision to discontinue Typepad, effective September 30, 2025.”
So here we are: moving to a new platform, but there’s no magic button to transfer 10,238 posts—images, videos, links, and all—spanning 6,742 days of blogging. Most of it is archived offline, and much of it has outlived its usefulness. But don’t worry—I’ll occasionally resurrect the worthwhile stuff and leave the rants behind.
This blog has always been about one thing: making me feel good. Sure, we rant at the TV and punch the dashboard—but the web hands like-minded mischief-makers a microphone, a stage, and a way to make some noise that matters.
So, welcome to the new and improved One Citizen Speaking. Opinions are my own, but the conversation is yours. Small changes can create big improvements…even if we’re still, in the grand scheme of things, completely screwed.
But seriously, the world is evolving every day, and with it, our priorities, perspectives, and paths to success are constantly shifting. We seek balance—between work and personal life, creativity and leisure—and strive to make the most of every moment.
Blogs are more than just words on a screen—they are spaces for fresh ideas, practical solutions, and meaningful support. Each participant creates their own corner for growth, where comfort and curiosity fuel progress.
Engaging with blogs doesn’t just make your day more productive; it makes it more inspiring. They sharpen focus, spark creativity, and provide the encouragement needed to keep moving forward. Even the smallest insight can transform your environment and elevate your productivity.
Remember: one idea, one thought, or one moment of reflection can change everything. Keep exploring, keep sharing, and let each day become a step toward your fullest potential.
